ISAN NIKAH

The wedding of Bak Kai, an Isan groom, and Sofia, a Muslim girl from Pattani in the South, is not an easy journey for the couple who must navigate the differences in culture and religion. Adding to their challenges is Bung Lee, the fierce older brother of the bride, who is determined to obstruct the wedding by any means and reclaim his sister.

"Isan Nikah" is a comedy-action-drama film about a wedding that requires circumcision - a humorous and complex journey for Bak Kai, the Isan groom, and the beautiful Sofia, a Southern Muslim bride. Their wedding (Nikah) will be a battle against obstacles of cultural and religious differences. To make matters worse, there's an additional barrier: the relentless interference from Sofia's formidable brother, Bung Lee.

Bung Lee carries deep emotional wounds from being abandoned by his mother, who left him and his sister to remarry an Isan man. These painful memories are threatening to repeat themselves with his beloved sister. Determined to prevent this wedding, he will use every possible method to stop it, exploiting the cultural and religious differences as potential obstacles to the couple's future love.

However, once the bride and groom are committed to their marriage, they are resolved to make this wedding happen no matter what. This leads to an epic battle for the bride: Bak Kai teams up with Bak Joey and his Isan gang, while Bung Lee joins forces with Bung Dun and his Southern Muslim gang. Who will emerge victorious? And ultimately, which side will Sofia choose?
